Late April

You Occupy my mind like

lead weight and fill my

nights with beautiful dreams

of terror and haunting.

You say my name from the street

corners, around every bush

and alleyway.

You live in my world and

entice me on to each new

day, each new experience.

You create me through the

breezes of an afternoon and

in the hallowed darkness of an

empty room. You are forever and

always a warm spot in my soul

on the coldest of eclipsed nights.

If only

If only you could exist.
